Area 51

Area 51, who doesn't know this place. For decades there has been speculation about what is happening here, but lately this place is increasingly in the news because of the event of the area 51 storming. But how did all these conspiracy theories originate and what is really happening here? In this article I'll talk to you about it...

Area 51 is an unofficial name for The Groom Lake Test Site. It is an American Air Force military base located in the Nevada Desert. The base is very closely guarded and is absolutely not accessible to outsiders. According to the official term it is a test and training range.

The place is well guarded with hidden cameras, watchtowers, fences, barriers, warning signs and armed guards. When you enter the area you will be arrested, but if you go too far, you will be shot.

Area 51 was built in 1955. The area was used for the development and testing of new military aircraft. The base was also used to bury top secret military projects and parts. Despite the fact that the base was already built in 1955, it was only in 2013 that the base was officially recognized. In the documents that were released at that time, it is mainly claimed that the base is used for test flights, which is not much New.

Many people claim years ago, before the existence of the base was acknowledged, to have experienced strange things in the area. Despite the fact that there were dozens, maybe hundreds of reports, the existence of the base was acknowledged 58 years later. That's why people think the government wants to keep something top secret.

The are 51 storming

The storming, started as a joke, but was also taken seriously by some people. The storming would take place on 20 September 2019. Because it was taken quite seriously by some, the person who suggested the idea did not really advise you to come to the area. Partly because this is heavily guarded and it is dangerous to really go there.

On the 10th of September 2019 two Dutch Youtubers drove into the territory to make a video. Because of this they were arrested and released on bail a few days later. Eventually they got away with a total fine of 4200 euros and damaged film equipment.

On the 20th of September there were some arrests for entering the forbidden area and a few more people for other reasons, but the day went quietly for the remaining part.

The frantic caller

In 1997, a radio show received a frantic call from a man claiming to have worked in Area 51. It seems that the phone call is not a hoax. Moreover, the conversation was quickly knocked off the air, which makes it all the more scary.

The man claimed, among other things, that aliens exist and that they want to exterminate the population and have infiltrated a lot of aspects of the military establishment. Very creepy...

Conspiracy theory

There are a number of known conspiracy theories about Area 51:

1. Roswell. In 1947, an alien spaceship with aliens in it would have crashed in Roswell, new mexico. In a report by the American Air Force, the remains would only have been from a failed secret government project.

The conspiracy theories really got started when Bob Lazar, a former Area 51 technician, gave an interview in 1989 about the that he had worked with extraterrestrial spacecrafts.

2. Secret experiments on extraterrestrial life. Several people living near Area 51, as well as people who became curious after the Roswell incident, have claimed to have seen strange things. Some people saw lights, others saw UFOs.

It would be that these were test flights of different military vehicles, but because this was top secret it was said that it was due to natural phenomena. This brought even more people to believe that the government was doing secret experiments that we shouldn't know about.

3. Reception place for aliens. Another well-known theory is that aliens come to the base voluntarily, because this is a place to receive alien vehicles in secret. Also this theory stems from the fact that people claim to have seen strange lights and vehicles at the base.

These are just a few of the biggest theories, but there are many more scary and mysterious theories that are told around on the internet. Do you believe in one of these theories or have you read another theory on the internet that you believe?
